Hi! I am Darcey Johnson Knudsen.

 

I have been an artist all of my life. Born in Seattle. Raised there and as a teen moved to Walla Walla,Wa. & Hillsboro, Oregon. My home with my amazing Family is here in Hillsboro!  From an early age I began to teach myself to draw and I also have an education in the fine arts into college.  I have learned so much more over the years; especially teaching Art Literacy for over 20 years in local grade schools in the Hillsboro, Beaverton and Portland area. 

Artists are driven to paint what they love. For me that is; landscapes, flowers, portraits of people, animals, and well.. almost anything inspires a painting! Most reciently abstract Hearts have been my passion!! My mediums  usually are; watercolor, acrylic, and oil. Love of the Hawaiian Islands has been a driving force behind my work. Hawaii  is one of the most inspiring places to paint. However, because I live in the Pacific Northwest, you can often find me out painting the majestic Mountains and Streams found in this beautiful place! Through my art I seek to create something that evokes emotions of warmth and happiness. I hope you enjoy my work!  My gallery is where I make my home in the historic Orenco Township in the old Orenco Drug Company which was the Doctor's Office!  It is a fun place for us to live and work too.
